Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data I collect when you visit this site, book a call or work with me, what I do with it, and your rights over it.
Who I am
Invig Media is a trading name of JEC Growth Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16720843). Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
JEC Growth Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email Jack Cooney at jack@invigmedia.com.
What I collect
- When you book a call: your name, email address, the time you choose, your time zone and anything you add in the booking form. Bookings are handled by Calendly.
- When you email me or we talk: your contact details and what you tell me about yourself and your business, plus my notes from our calls.
- If we work together: the information needed to deliver the work and invoice for it, including business data you share with me (for example sales, marketing and customer data). Where that includes your customers’ personal data, I handle it under the terms we agree in our contract.
- When you visit this site: the site’s host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser details. The site itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.
Why I use it, and the lawful basis
- To arrange and hold calls, and follow up on them: my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and discussing working together, or steps you ask me to take before entering a contract.
- To deliver work you’ve engaged me for: performance of our contract.
- To keep business and tax records: my legal obligations.
- To keep the site running securely: my legitimate interest in operating the website.
I don’t sell your data, and I don’t use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of service providers who process data on my behalf:
- Calendly: booking calls.
- Google: email, calendar and video calls.
- Netlify: hosting this website.
- Google Fonts: the fonts on this site load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when the page loads.
I may also share data with my accountant, or where the law requires it. If we work together, specialist partners I bring in on that work (for example creative or email agencies) may receive the data they need to do it, under the terms of our contract.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK–US data bridge or by contractual safeguards approved under UK law.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries and bookings that don’t lead to work: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Client records: 6 years after our work ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Website server logs: as long as the host retains them, typically a few weeks.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The Calendly booking calendar, embedded on the home page, may set cookies. Calendly asks for your consent to non-essential cookies in its own banner. See Calendly’s cookie notice for details.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email jack@invigmedia.com and I’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. I’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If this notice changes, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
